About the AI-Empowered SAFe® Scrum Master training
The AI-Empowered SAFe® Scrum Master certification training prepares you to work as a Scrum Master in an organization that runs on the Scaled Agile Framework®. In 16 hours of live, instructor-led online classes, you learn how Scrum works inside SAFe, how to take part in PI Planning, how to facilitate iteration events, and how to use AI to support your team as part of an Agile Release Train (ART).

Are there any prerequisites for SAFe Scrum Master training?
There are no formal prerequisites. It helps if you have some experience with Scrum, Agile teams or SAFe, for example as part of an Agile Release Train (ART) or in PI Planning.
What is the SAFe Scrum Master exam format?
The AI-Empowered SAFe® Scrum Master exam is a web-based, closed-book test with 45 single-answer multiple-choice questions. You have 90 minutes and need at least 80% (36 of 45) to pass. Unanswered questions count as wrong. The exam covers: introducing Scrum in SAFe (10–12%), the role of the Scrum Master (21–23%), PI Planning (14–16%), iteration execution (21–23%), finishing the PI (14–16%) and augmenting the Scrum Master role with AI (12–14%).
How do I get my certificate and badge after passing the exam?
After you pass, your certificate and digital badge are available in your SAFe Studio profile. You can download the certificate from there and share the badge on LinkedIn.
Can I earn PDUs and SEUs from SAFe Scrum Master training?
Yes. After the course, you can claim Professional Development Units (PDUs) with the Project Management Institute (PMI) for PMP, PgMP and PMI-ACP, and Scrum Education Units (SEUs) with Scrum Alliance, for your continuing education requirements.
How do you renew the SAFe Scrum Master certification?
You renew every year through SAFe Studio. SAFe Scrum Master is in Scaled Agile's Foundational tier, and the renewal fee is US$195 per year (plus tax). Renewal keeps your certification and badge active and gives you continued access to SAFe Studio content, toolkits and SAFe Skills.
What is new in the AI-Empowered SAFe® Scrum Master course?
Scaled Agile no longer uses version numbers such as SAFe 6.0. The AI-Empowered SAFe® Scrum Master course (current courseware release 26.7) builds AI into every lesson: crafting effective prompts, using AI for facilitation, retrospectives, coaching and metrics, and using AI responsibly. If you already hold an active SAFe 6 Scrum Master certification, Scaled Agile lets you upgrade to the AI-Empowered credential by completing the short "AI Skills for Scrum Masters" SAFe Skill.
What is the passing score for this exam?
On the current AI-Empowered SAFe® Scrum Master exam, you need at least 80% to pass, that is 36 correct answers out of 45. If you need more attempts after the included ones, an unproctored retake costs US$50.
What if I don't pass the AI-Empowered SAFe® Scrum Master exam?
